I only push it once, although the new ones in Clemson don't "push" very much so it sometimes seems as though you haven't pushed it at all. But I still only push them once. The real question is, how many times do you push an elevator button? And do you push it even after someone else has already pushed it?
As for the elevator, for me it depends on the elevator. If it is one that I am very familiar with, I will walk in and push the button without thinking because I know where the button is. If I get on an elevator and have to look for the button, I will notice it is already lit and with not push it. If (regardless of the elevator) the button does not light up after pushing it, well then I guess 20±ε.

A lot... I's tell you know I know it's a lot, but then you'd think I'm crazy! I'll tell you in person sometime Sean if you remember to ask me!
