I think most Canadians use the American date/time order, so it's all good. We're so mixed up. A few Britishisms here, a couple Americanisms there. Confusing. Thank God I grew up with it so it all makes sense.
Yeah, it's really an odd mix. If you ask a Canadian they'd probably say mm/dd/yyyy. However, most of the bank and government forms that I've dealt with were in dd/mm/yyyy, if they specified. So now when I am in Canada and fill out a form that asks for the date and doesn't specify the format, I write something like "08-Apr-2006" rather than using the slashes.
