Bear Beach

Last weekend Brad and I hiked the Juan de Fuca Marine Trail from China Beach to Bear Beach. It made for a very nice 2 night trip, the first of which was spent at the China Beach Campground.

A bit of rain made the trail muddy in spots, but mostly just near China Beach due to the volume of hikers near there. Further in there are less people and the trail is better. There were lots of interesting parts of the trail such as curving stairs cut out of fallen logs:

And bridges made of huge fallen trees:

A nice suspension bridge:

A fantastic place to eat lunch by a creek:

Nice places to camp on Bear Beach (with floating towels):

And of course beaches themselves (Mystic Beach below):

I love the pictures. The first one is my fav. The angle of it and everything is just so nifty looking! Now I wanna go and hike up there!!
